February/March Update

Hi Friends! First off, thank you for your prayers and support. Because of you I am able to continue my work here at Cowboys With a Mission. CWAM is a nonprofit mission organization where we bring the gospel overseas and to the ranching community around us. Currently, we take two teams every year to two different countries where we bring the gospel and serve for eight weeks. Thank you again for being a part of this mission and thank you for praying and continuing to support me.

JANUARY
The Fall 2016 School graduated end of January, and the students have all returned back home. It was bittersweet to see them go, but also encouraging to see the growth and to hear the testimonies from their time in the Middle East. Liz, one of the students, felt so called and passionate for the country she served in, that she will be returning in the fall to serve there long term!

FEBRUARY
February is one of the "in between schools" month. Bill, Kelly and I, who are the leaders of the current DTS, spent a lot of time in prayer and preparing for the arrival of students. Before the school started, we had a week of staff training. It was a time of encouragement and really helped challenge me personally in my walk with God.
Mikaela and I were also invited to help measure fish at the Ice Fishing Derby in Meeteetse. I know nothing about ice fishing, so it was fun to be involved the process! And last but not least, February was a big month for me as I officially became a Wyoming resident!

MARCH
Now this update brings us to the current month of March! The Spring 2017 Discipleship Training School is underway! We have six students from all over the country (and one from South Africa!) and we just finished up Orientation week. We have 12 weeks of lecture, communications, horsemanship, and work duties and after that, for the months of June and July, we will be taking the team to Mongolia. In Mongolia, we will be going to the border of Russia to preach the gospel to the Reindeer people, teaching English at Tribal Bridge and partnering with the local church. Mongolia has been on my heart for almost three years, and now at last God is bringing me back! I have a lot of mixed feelings of anticipation as well as nervousness, but most of all I just feel grateful to God for allowing me return.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?
PRAYER:
Please join my in praying for Cowboys With A Mission. The base directors are leaving for a four month sabbatical this April and so please lift up the new summer leadership team, Mitchell, Jana and Chris. Please be praying for the current DTS and for the people we will be witnessing to in Mongolia. Also, I would covet your prayers for me personally as I step out as a leader.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT:
Being at Cowboys With A Mission is a volunteer position. We are expected to raise all of our own support for monthly rent, personal items and travel expenses. We rely on our support back home to cover those fees and to be able to continue to work here. Please prayerfully consider committing to becoming a monthly supporter or giving a one time gift.
